LM-PW

Crafted for effortless assembly, these lightweight paddlewheels feature a clear, user-friendly guide that allows for construction using only hand tools. We engineer these paddle wheels with tight clearances to minimize backflow for optimal mixing efficiency. Additionally, our custom-bent blade shapes deliver versatile performance, proving effective at mixing both micro- and macroalgae.
Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) paddle wheel

Composite shaft and hubs offer high corrosion resistance and weight reduction which improves efficiency and ease of installation. All FRP parts are coated in a food-grade epoxy with UV-blocking compounds for safety and durability.
Properly-sized gear motors save energy and reduce maintenance to extend the lifetime of a facility

Why re-invent the paddlewheel?
MBE’s engineers identified key deficiencies in traditional paddlewheels. Some models’ weight and shape force motors to be mounted on pedestals within raceway channels—a setup vulnerable to contamination from rust and grease leaks. Their bulky construction also demands heavy equipment, such as cranes or forklifts, for installation. In-house alternatives typically involve welding steel hubs to reclaimed oil pipes and fabricating plastic blades, which are prone to corrosion, UV damage, and frequent maintenance. Additionally, the flat blade design lacks optimal hydraulic properties, further compromising efficiency.
